Pirastro has developed a wide range of rosins (from hard to soft) to best match your strings! Keep in mind that hard rosin will serve you better in a warm climate, while soft rosin is much better in cold climates. Even if you don't use Pirastro strings, you will enjoy the beautiful clear sound this rosin enables.
GOLD Pirastro Rosin:
This is a harder rosin, especially well suited for Gold gut strings.
EVAH-GOLD Pirastro Rosin:
Very soft rosin; Evah Pirazzi Gold rosin increases the ease of bow response in the softer dynamic range and maximizes the instrument‘s ability to react to bow pulses during fast and virtuoso playing. The rosin‘s powerful contact with the strings allows the player to draw out the sound evenly and enable clear articulation without harshness.
OLIV-EVAH Pirastro Rosin:
Dark olive color. Relatively soft, low dust forming, big sound, good grip with low noise. Well suited for gut strings and Evah Pirazzi strings.
OBLIGATO Pirastro Rosin:
Forest honey colors. Mellow, rounded sound. Well suited for synthetic strings with low and medium tension.
